Apple iPad is jail broken prior to open
T looks like the Apple iPad had been hack or ‘jail broken’ prior to the 3 April US open next week, if infamous hacker George Hoots is to be believed.
Hot is the famed hacker behind recent phone and PS3 exploit and claims to have by now fractured the Apple iPad prior to its US launch.
Hacks for technophobes
Hot is best known for hacking Apple’s phone, allowing users to use the telephone on any network and to install unauthorized, cracked apps.
Hot has also claimed to have hacked the PS3, though his hack still does not allow gamers to run cracked games on Sony’s console.
Hoot’s phone-cracking software blackra1n offers the majority technically-inept phone user a one-click jail breaking solution, much to Apple’s dismay. Hoots now say that blackra1n “will almost certainly work on iPad too”.
We should see if he is right or if Apple has manage to block blackra1n from jail breaking its new iPad at open on 3 April.
Apple working in some sort of block to Hoot’s software previous to the iPad arrives next month.
